I don't know if they ever really were a trend but lord knows they should have been. The proof is in the picture of Pamela's Castillo's mom (with lucky dad circa 1980).
Pamela -- who runs her own killer style site, Market Publique-- says: "I think her lilac Gloria Vanderbilt jeans kick American Apparel's butt!"
Gloria, ay? I think I got her number.

These Velour Orange high-waisted 70's GV's are $49 at ecrater.com

These Pink Ladies are $18 at ebay, though it looks like 30 years of washing has turned them white.
The same could be said for Gloria's son Anderson's hair. It must be genetic.

No, no, not high waisted jeans! I'm a mom, I cannot wear them! I CANNOT.
But the mom in question is lovely, and the moustache on the dad is a great timepiece!
You forgot to tag under "Lucky Dads." ;)
Lovely dress on a lovely lady.
Work from home
I had those lavender GV's, too! And some periwinkle blue ones.
I would just like to share the fact that while I was on the skytrain yesterday, I saw a woman wearing lavender jeans, and I thought of this blog. :)
haha it's working!
Yes please! Let's bring 'em back!
I like the idea of bringing back lavender jeans, but the high waisted jeans trend has got to go!
