My Mom, The Explorer

Between 1956 and 1959 Duncan Innes' parents traveled around the world on a motorbike. With £200 to their name, they picked up odd jobs to stay afloat and scratched their travel itch for two years straight. They ventured from Europe, down through Africa, across to Australia and New Zealand and then across the pacific to the US and Canada before returning to the UK.

Says Duncan: "My mum died in 1996 but my dad is still going strong. What amazes me (and still amazes my dad when he looks at the photos) is how neat and tidy my mum looked in every shot - quite an achievement considering the conditions she spent two and a half years living in."
