Let's bring back: Swimsuits with skirts

One-pieces with skirts weren't always designed for retirement home pools. During the 50's, Deborah Hart's mom lived on the Fiji Islands and stopped row-boat traffic in this red frilly suit. Wholesomewear, it ain't.
I spent some time trying to find a new knock-off suit online to no avail. Skirted suits are generally splattered with hot pink Hawaiian flowers and have a "sleek" skirt design. There are some vintage suits like this one from baby girl vintage...

...but am I crazy to think that buying used bathing suits from a total stranger's grandma is going one step too far? Please, weigh in.

You'll know if you should or not when you see the grandma and, more so, the bathing suit. ;-)

I've been shopping for bathing suits with skirts lately (I've got some big girl hips on me!) and they have gotten awfully cute! No longer are they covered in splashy prints! Macy's and Lane Bryant have some great looking ones (albeit expensive!)

Ew. Buying vintage bathing suits is icky. Just a little too close to reality, if you know what I mean.

oooh jenny thats good to know.
i do vintage shoes. is that wrong? that's kind of close. as long as the shoes aren't from the 90's because they still probably smell and it was black period for footwear

I am not too into the whole second hand bathing suit either, but I also can't understand the dry cleanable undies... that is strange.
